Since the beginning of the year, some posts have appeared on the Facebook mobile app that are a little different. These posts are characterized by a lightning bolt at the top of the post, which, when opened, displays the content much faster than normal.
This type of post uses a new Facebook feature: Instant Articles, which is only available upon request. In Peru, few fan pages are currently using this type of post, and although it has been available since 2015, it has only recently become much more common at the beginning of this year.
Instant Articles open up to 10 times faster than a regular article, improving the experience for mobile users. They also include features for images and videos.
But there’s a catch: you can only see them if you have an iPhone. Unfortunately, they’re not yet available for Android devices, but it’s expected that they’ll be accessible from various devices later this year.
